Destin has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, so it is no surprise that a lot of spring breakers choose Destin for a week of fun. In an effort to control the influx of young people in the area, Destin police officers sometimes become overzealous in their enforcement of the law. As a result, many students are arrested in a place where they don’t know anyone and don’t know where to turn for help. If you were arrested in Destin during spring break, I would like for you to give me a call and let me help you.

My name is Tim Flaherty. I have been defending spring breakers, students, and vacationers arrested on spring break in Destin since 2001. Along with my partner, Brandy Merrifield, we can help you put this nightmare behind you. Contact a Destin Spring Break arrest lawyer by calling (850) 243-6097 for the help you need.

Will I have to come back to Destin if I got arrested on Spring Break?

Most likely, no. You were probably given a notice of a court date. That court date is called an arraignment, or plea day. As long as you have an attorney before that court date, you will not have to appear in person.

If you have not hired an attorney, you must appear in person at your court date, unless you were excused, in writing, by the Judge. Do NOT take the clerk of court’s word for it. You must appear unless your attorney, or the Judge, excuses you.

Common Spring Break Arrests

How will you defend me if I got arrested on Spring Break in Destin?

We understand that as a young person, you have your whole life ahead of you. You don’t want a spring break mistake to stick with you as you move forward with college, your career, the military, or whatever else you decide to do with your life.

We will do everything possible to ensure that you can move on from your mistakes with a fresh start. Give Brandy and I a call and let’s talk about Pretrial Diversion and the possibility of Record Expungement. Both of those options give you the 2nd chance you’re looking for.
