My favorite part of my job is when we're able to get a charge dismissed for a client, wipe the slate clean, and give them a fresh start. One of the ways that we do that is with a record expungement or record seal. With a record seal, we're able to seal the record so that people can see that you did have an arrest, but they can't see what it was for.
And then after a certain period of time, you can apply to have the seal convert to an expungement. With a record expungement, the arrest itself is actually removed from the public record,
